Having survived the worst flu I have ever had then getting pneumonia (Sherry had the flu and Strep Throat at the same time), neither of us felt much like doing anything. Leelan has been sick and came down with Bronchititis (?) and Casey picked up some bug.
Casey and Leelan has moved out into low income housing which is nice apartment. Unfortunate part is her x-husband has a 'girlfriend' in the same complex and has paid her a visit today. (Don't like that at all). We were not to keen that she has a new - former first boyfriend - she is working on getting him to move in full time once he gets a job and he has transportation. Not morally right but having him live there might help the x-husband stay away. (He has never taken any interest in Leelan and complains he has to pay child support...he wants it reduced....yet she has only gotten 2 child support payments of less than $5 each). What a joke.
I am working midnight shifts at the Adult Foster Care homes....one is a half hour away one way. Lost a lot of time and wages being sick for well over two weeks. Have had a couple of trainings and staff meetings during the daytime so getting a bit worn out and have a headache now from sinuses. Can't take anything to help the sinuses as I am on meds for Glaucoma which doesn't allow me to use much of anything. So as mentioned not feeling well. (Again). I am now trained in Standard First Aid, Adult CPR, Child CPR, Infant CPR and also trained in the use of the AED (defibrilator.....Clear....ZAP!!) and certified now too to give meds to the clients.
Got a new phone (one of those Droid X Smartphones) so been trying to learn it....after all to use something one has to be smarter than the thing one works with. It is great as I have an application in it that tells me all about the drugs these guys are having to take, the side effects and other things. Sure has been helpful.
Anyway, I am still alive. Missing little Leelan living here but so glad to see him when Sherry gets to babysit him. (Kinda nice having Casey gone).
Prayers continue for all who are in need of God's love, mercy and grace as well as His healing to those who need that as well.
Would ask for prayers for the guys I supervise in the AFC homes. My heart goes out to each of them and "there but by the Grace of God, go I". Thanks Brothers and Sisters...been missing you all. God bless each and every one.
