Still hibernating....

Howdy,

I haven't been on the forum for a few weeks as Winter has settled in and my attentions are elsewhere. I did take time to fully dismantle and clean my SE, coils, and assorted equipment. Heck, I even sent the drop cloths through the wash. Now that's Winter. I did manage to tumble my clad and cash that in too. I bought a nice Bust half with it as my treat (figured I'd get something I'm not likely to find here!).

I saw a back hoe (big one) in the neighborhood a couple weeks back trying to dig a hole for a new house. We had had a brief warm up and some actual rain, followed by a temperature plummet. The poor guy was trying to get this massive hoe to make a dent in the ground and was losing terribly. It had to have been frozen solid down over a foot or more, and there was just no way it was budging. Made me wonder how much longer I'll be waiting for the season to open up again....

Anyway, still hibernating here with nothing else to post. Just thought I'd say howdy.

I'm with you there DirtFlipper, it's been cleaning, organizing, and preparation time since things froze up here is Salt Lake.

Seems that my very old Lortone 3A tumbler somehow disappeared and so I ordered a new one a few weeks ago. It arrived and the clad and nasty zincolns all received their appropriate treatment. Those plated pennies just don't do it, do they. They look awful.

Most everything from last year has been cleaned up and put away. Now, I am laying plans for this coming year.

Hopefully, a few little breaks in the weather will come along in the next several weeks so I can get out and at least relieve a little cabin fever.:rage:

Howdy DF. Sorry to hear that you are still hibernating and a lot of the other fellows are in the same boat. Must really be cold if the ground is frozen a foot deep.:ranting: At least you got your gear all cleaned up. Try and keep warm and pray for an early spring.:clapping:
