Stimulated

Still waiting to get my "stimulus" check.......but hold the train. I heard the government had to borrow the money from China to keep from taking it from
the Social Security fund - so we can use it buy gas for our cars - so the money can go to the Arabs. It's likely to end up coming out of our next year return
(if we get one) anyway. So tell me exactly - what part of "our" economy is going to get "stimulated"? Just curious.

I got stimulated last night before sundown at the park. Found around 2.50 in pocket change with my metal detector. Didn't cost me anything except a bit of time,
a new set of batteries for my metal detector, and the gas to drive to the park. So - I spent around 10 bucks to find around 2.50 and enjoyed every minute of it. That's still better return than spending 600.00 for what cost me 100.00 last year and not enjoying any of it.......isn't it?

I also got stimulated when I went to get some groceries at the grocery store day before yesterday. What cost me 100.00 a few months ago now cost me 135.00. Seems all the shortage of gas we are having right now translates into a hike in everything on the shelves....including the stuff nobody much buys in the first place and
has sat on the same shelf for the past 5 years without re-stocking.

Consider me "stimulated" already. The check will just add more icing to the cake.

Yes - I am spoiled rotten. Yes I have more than many - and less than most. Yes I am grateful for what I do have. So - tell me then, why the heck am I so angry over all this? Should I not get mad when I know I am getting "stimulated"? Stimulate me.

Well gvanvekoven you can look at the stimulus pkg this way! The $600 is more than you would have had even if you don't get it or have to pay it back later! The gas and groceries are still higher plus other things, so look on it as being positive rather than negative! If you get it, you're $600 richer, if not than you stay the same!

I like to look on the postive side of life rather than the negative! How much would it have cost you to go bowling with no return for your money, or any other hobby besides MDing which does provide you some money......even if it is a few pennies? Vacations cost and etc. So smile and be happy no matter what! Sadness nor complaining really doesn't change anything but put more stress on yourself and others! Look to Jesus for answers....He is our helper, our provider and our protector and will never forsake nor leave us...He is our best Friend unto the end!

God bless you all. I am so very glad there are people like you in this world left to gain strength and encouragement from. I am afraid I am weak in this regard.
I am a Christian and believe in forgiveness - but I do not believe in the forget part of that old line. We live in a world of hate and deceit. These are the end times.
I for one will (and have) turned the other cheek. However - I am also one who does not turn it back and forth a million times. My dear friends - I know when someone
is screwing me and when they are not. I gladly accept my stimulus check and will spend it on Gas to get back and forth to work as I usually do. Yes it's more than
what I had before - but that does not negate the fact that I am getting screwed in the process. So - I won't bother you all again with my negativism. Please forgive me for who I have become, and pray I become who I wish I was.

Well, I didn't mean to offend you about negativism, as I was only trying to encourage you to see that $600 is better than nothing! Please keep on posting and know that we sisters and brothers love you and sorry you feel so bad about the world letting you down, but your fellow Christians will not, so post, be happy in the Lord and He shall provide all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! He is the way, the truth and life, Who's the only way for having happiness in the good times and in the bad!
