Stone Tomahawk Very Old

LSW

New member
They must have built my house where a Tee Pee once stood I keep finding items like this. Yes I strapped the handle to it and yes I used a shoe string, but the item is real and it has wear marks from years of being strapped to a handle. Does anyone have a price tag its about 5 1/2 " long and about 3 " tall.

I think wrapping that in rawhide and shrinking it tight with a local wood for a handle would make it a great piece to hang on the wall or some other type of display.

Would you mind photographing it unattached? Any idea of the rock type and local found...

This stone was found in the 1930s by my uncle in Oklahoma during a pipeline dig. My father attached it to a handle when he was in the boy scouts around 1940.

Not sure the type of stone but it is very hard. I hit it three or four times with the rotor tiller on the side when I kicked it up out of my garden. I live here in northeast Ohio and that is where I found it. since then I have found many other items on my property. Here are a few more and I will take it of the handle one day soon but I am waiting for one of the local colleges to take a look at them first.

Sorry here are the other Items , I am new here so I didn't realize it only took one at a time.

I found one in the river while fly fishing about 6 yrs ago and sold it to a college professor for $400
