Stop the Wobble

Ralph Bryant

Since some manufacturers chose not to use the pole locking collars on their machine designs, I went in search of a way to tighten up and reduce the search-rod wobble from their stock configuration. This is what I came up with for my Nautilus IIb, and it works just as well on the Ace.

Simply remove the stock spring clips and replace with these tubing-head bolts and reinforced plastic wing nuts. They are extremely strong and reduce any pole wobble or creek to an absolute minimum, giving the entire unit a much more solid feel.

Just something to add to the "tips" page.......
