Hi Folks; We are getting hit with a good old fashioned Nor' Easter here in Boston.Winds at 40 + mph and horizontal rain.Good news is my diggng partner Rob has found 2 1700's King George Coppers, several Indian heads, and a 1878 Seated Liberty dime. This was all in one area on a local beach. This is one part of the beach we've been trying to search, wanted to dig or pray would erode away enough for us to get down to the hard packed clay here on this beach. It is "FINALLY" happening. We have literally waited 2 years for this to happen.Weather clears, free time opens on this Sunday with a 10:00 low tide.I'm dying for Sunday. We'll be there at 7:00am SHARP haha. Have minor surgery Friday so I hope to be ok for it.If not I'll go but take my time.Satan will not stop me from digging.
He can go to ------ . We talk about thick headed Irishmen; In my case it's a blessing haha.
Anyway keep you posted.
PEACE:RONB.

Anyway The lure of this site is just to great to pass up.Also those 1700's King George Coppers that my friend found come from when George Washington drove the British troops from Boston. The Fort they left from Fort Independence which we call Castle Island in South Boston is just up the street literally.A lot of the coins and relics got washed up onto this one beach because of the way the beach is shaped. It is like a natural catchers glove literally. And the way the tides run everything gets washed right into it from all over Boston Harbor. When they dredged the Harbor all kinds of stuff washed up. You "NEVER" know whats going to come up next.I've been searching this area for over 30 years and I still find stuff from the 1600's - present along with everyone else. Its like God gave us our own keys to Davey Jones's locker and it is never empty. Sometimes the pickings are slim but that is usually short lived. Anyway enough for now.Until later; PEACE:RONB
