Strange encounter

Went down to the lot close to home last night. Still pulling a few good finds out, but getting very thin.
A guy walked up and asked how I was doing. Proceeded to tell me he's been coming to this lot with his detectors, I asked what he had and was told he has an Ace250, Technetics T2 and Fisher CZsomething or other. Said he's gotten a couple of dimes out of here but not much more.
He asked how I've done and and when I told him 2 silver dimes, a dozen or more wheats and about $3 in assorted change, his face looked shocked. Then he shocked me by saying that someone was hunting that lot and putting their trash back in the hole. Hope he wasn't trying to say it was me. I just shook my head and asked if he noticed how much trash was in this area.
Not many people know the names of detectors if they aren't in the hobby, but this guy saw my Digger coil and said that I was using a small "loop". Hmmmmm.....
All I can say is, if this guy had been in here with those 3 detectors, I need to find out what other places he hunts and hit them with the 705. I'll clean up.

You have a lethal weapon in your hands. Follow all you can.....

Yeah, thats sort of what I'm thinking, haha. I dont know if this guy really has all 3 detectors, or if he wishes he had the T2 and Fisher. Pretty sure he has the Ace250, and he probably runs disc so high that he isnt finding a whole lot of stuff, the look on his face when I told him whats been coming out of this lot was priceless. He told me of another lot he has been hitting hard, I think I will make it a point to see what the 705 can pick out of it.
I hunt in AM quite a bit, so I think that may be why I am getting stuff from the trashy sites.

I think it's both the man and the machine in your case Bill! You have proven that you can find stuff the 'highly rated' Vaquero couldn't (me too). I think that it's the same situation with the other detectors this guy supposedly has. BTW what jerks would put trash back in the hole??

Oh, I'm pretty sure there are lazy people that put their trash back in the hole. I have an old coat with big pockets, or a 2 pocket apron to throw my junk in. I'm out searching junky areas, so I want all the garbage gone. My guess is its him putting the trash back.

Hello Bill Hines of Kuna
My name is Ron Taylor, we are currently up in Donnelly but will be moving down to Boise area shortly. Normally we go south for the winters but do to wife's health issues we will be in the Boise area this season. I also have the 705, Got my from G>>>> in Boise.
I don't have a lot of experience and would like to get together with other detectorist for pointers.

My family loves to hit places that other people have hunted!

We had a spot that earlier in the year Hotrod53 found a Morgan dollar and my Mom found an 1865 two cent piece and an indian and I found an indian and a merc. We went back one more time and a guy came through with his dog and said that there used to be a guy that hunted this place very often but never really found anything. I just said "some places you can do pretty well and other places you don't do so well." I didn't want to let him know what we had found there a few months earlier.
