strange pendant found yesterday... any ideas??

I found this at a soccor field yesterday.. looks like it is silver, but I don't see any markings on it.
Don't know the reference of the designs.

Being that it has a boat with the fish underneath it looks like it was modeled after a Portuguese 50 cent piece. I think they call it a 50 escudos. The back of the pendant does not look like the back of their 50 cent piece. Who knows, maybe you have a really old one there.

Without holding it my hand, I'd say that it could be silver.

I do not know what it is. But congratulations on finding it. I would post it on the whazit forum. There are a couple of guys on there that amaze me at iding things.
