Well, it might not be strawberries, but it is definately a wheat field! I don't know the opinion of anyone else but, if I find a coin, any coin, older than myself, I have found something! The area I'm hunting seems to lack a silver to copper ratio. When I find a penny, dime, or quarter older than myself, it has worth and historical value to me.
To me it's exciting to find an old coin for profit and historical value. I personally think to myself, what happened in History that year, where was I or my father or grandfather, what were we doing. How do you suppose this coin was lost.
Metal detecting and finding nice coins are great! However, when you look and consider the history of the coin and the times and conditions the coin was there, to me, it's fasinating!
Am I sentimental and a woose?
