Well, I hit the beach again at 0 dark...theres sweepers galore that are not missing a thing! They show up in the afternoon and sweep all night I think, since its even hard to find a pulltab, and theres 1000's of people there everyday..See the shiny coins? They are the results of slogging through the sand for miles...I decided to go and do what I do best, DIRT WORK! I found this baseball field that was just stripped and started in a hitting! Any signal not iron got a stab. Got this little 925 ring and this big token that says "One Dollar, redeemable at centennial headquarters on of before june 30th 1969" talk about being a day late and a dollar short! And a 53 wheat...Total finds per day has really dropped off into the high 20's but so far, 4830 coins, 376.41 clad. Still running the 53 sens, -3 thresh on the F70...Boy I really hate beach hunting!

Dang Rob! A century day and gold to boot! Nice work! Hey Larry, a guys gotta hit it when its the season for fresh drops, or any opportunity that presents itself. I have an idea for tomorrow, its a private beach, a mile walk, a swim across a deep but narrow channel to get to it...I may take a kayak to get there, or just swim it with a CZ 20 and spend some time in hopefully a non-swept spot before the sun comes up.

It is still a nice hunt Mud. Speaking of fresh drops. Today I went to a park where the people watch fireworks. Over 100,000 people watched the fireworks in this area. Not one coin on the top of the ground. I picked up 36 coins form 1"-3" in the ground in a small area. I think the aliens are picking up the fresh drops in their spaceships just so we won't get any coins?
Wow Rob!!!! You be the man!!!!! Nice going on the stabbing. It is a rewarding way to hunt.... HH ....Z

Nothing like a freshly scraped park area to get the coil swinging Mud! Great going!

Getting coil envy guys!

I work nights in a modern warehouse. That means it's only about 130 degrees in there all night. So by morning I am already shot and for this week, with the 100+ temps it's just been too trying to even get out and play at all. But it's the weekend and I just did the weed wacker and lawn mower workout and found that liveable, so my day is coming!

Holding out for an evening hunt today and a long early day tomorrow!

Fresh dirt. Yum Yum.

Beats me. I found about $12.00 in coins one day awhile back. Good going!

What a good-looking site. Nice ring you found there.

I guess in this hobby you can never know what to expect.

You would think that you find some coils on top the surface
after the fireworks show.

Maybe the public works fella took out the tractor and
swept the area with his 8ft trolling magnet.
