Today probably wasn't the best day I ever had metal detecting, but it rates up there quite a bit. Our local club had it's first hunt of the year in an old farmers field. The usual finds were plenty. Horse shoe nails, plow parts, beer cans and all that good stuff. About half thru the hunt I got a different signal with my ACE 250. Proably around the dime range. Out came an 1863 Indian Head Fat Boy in good shape. That was the second IH found up to that time. About 2 feet away I got a solid nickel hit and down about 3 inches came one of my best finds yet. A 1781 Spanish reale. Not in the best shape but it's silver. Life is good. I know, send pictures. I would if I ever figure out how to get my pictures from my Kodak easy share to the forum. Maybe some day........
