Sunday Evening Hunt

PeggyK

New member
I got out for a quick hunt Sunday evening -
It was a very busy weekend (mother-in-law visiting). I haven't been out much this month, as we have been doing spring cleaning and home renos.
I came home with a modern pin, and a duo of pennies - a Canadian 1938 George VI & a 1938 wheatie.
And the realization that my new AT-Pro is a heavier swing than my Ace 250. I need to build up some more arm muscles.

Hi Peggy,
It's great you were able to get out and nice that you didn't go home empty handed. I've found a lot of Canadian pennies over the years but none as old as the one you found. Congratulations!

Glad you got out. What denomination is the George VI ???

I'm from Canada - We have the King/Queen of England on our coins. King George VI was monarch from 1937 to 1951. So a George VI coin will fall within that date. The surprise for me was the Wheatie, and I thought it was cool that both (found in different areas of the park I was in) had that same mintage year.

I was wondering if it was a penny, dime or????

Glad you were able to find time to get out! And congrats on the finds!

Lisa
