I slept in this morning and finally got up and started swinging the detector shortly after 11:00am. I stopped at a couple spots and every time I found some keepers. Today I found 9 Silver, 3 being Barber Dimes dated 1908-s,1909 with readable liberty, and 1912 with readable liberty but must have been in gravel since it is dinged up a bit. The 1908-s was in between some larger rocks in the ground and I ended up slicing it in the front. Next time I am going to locate it with the X-1 Probe and then use my brass probe to work it out if I run into this situation again. The other 6 were Mercury Dimes dated 1918,1924-d,1936-d,1943-d,1944-d,and 1945-d. I found a spot that was loaded with Wheats and Merc's that I know of so far and saved it for next weekend so I can take my friend to it. If I myself would have stayed there and worked it by myself, I know I would have had 20-30 Silver no problem today. Can't wait to see what else is in there this upcoming weekend. I also found 2 Nickels, 1 being a Buffalo (needing the acid treatment) dated 1920 and the other Nickel was a Jefferson dated 1940. There is a before and after pic for the Nickels below. I also found an Indian Head Penny dated 1906 and 15 more Wheats dated 1917-s,1918,1919,1926,1926-d,1930-d,1939,1939,1940-s,1945,1946,1947-d,1952-d,1955-d,and 1957-d. Pic for the Pennies is below. And I found a Button that says on the back "American Button Co. Newark,NJ. and an old Cufflink. Not a bad day at all.
