Sunday's finds, plus some items from my first Silver Day!

I did post this Barber dime already, but I sharpened the pictures of it so that you could see the great detail in this 104 coin. From a lot of the Barbers that I've seen, this one seems to still have a lot of detail that I don't see in other coins. (what do you guys think, am I just being a proud parent here?

So here is a combination of Saturday's hunt in the woods, and Sunday's walk around the edge of the parking lot at the middle school. Most of the coins are from the parking lot, and those items in the upper right hand corner are from the woods hunt. I was able to pull out several shotgun shells, an old aluminum lighter, an un-fired 22 round, a fired bullet, the "3 Merry Widows" tin cover, and the gem of the day and probably the year...my beautiful 1909 Barber Dime valued at about $23, perhaps more, but I haven't had it graded yet. I know I posted this dime already, but these are better photos showing much more detail.
For a good laugh, you have to do a Google search for "3 Merry Widows", then you can truly appreciate what it is that I found!

Anyway, not exactly a "Mudpuppy" load, but it's a few coins! By the way, a big thank you to Mud, and Mike "the F5 guru" Hillis, for their help in getting me to use the right settings for parking lot hunting...looks like it paid off.

HH fellas!

That's a huge haul! those parking lot edges are tough, but theres always a good chance for a gold or silver piece in that mess...OK its warmed up enough for us Northern boys to make a showing, maybe got a week before the bugs hatch! Lets represent!

The mosquitos come near me and they'll be hauling my trash out! The one thing up here is that, during the Spring, the woods are clear of underbrush, the bugs are gone, and the metal detecting is pretty much interference free. Soon we'll need that non-swingin' arm for swattin'!

No matter how you look at it, the Barber is a great old find. I guess those 3 Widows got around pretty good. One must keep a close eye out for them in the woods. They can be sneaky. Good hunting! HH jim tn
