I only managed one coin a 1895 indian but I really like digging those. I also got a pocket watch back and a harmonica reed and a toe plate. Also a few whazits.

Thanks guys. I was way back in the hollers in GOD's country no one around for miles just my doberman. He goes with me a lot if I am not hunting a house that someone lives in. And there is several springs coming out of the hill side in the woods. Man was that water good .

I don't think that it is a heel plate, but rather part of an oil lamp. I've found several similar to it, and the long piece with the sprockets is a wick adjuster.
