Surf Cams

I was wondering if any of you beach hunters use the surf cams to scope out the conditions for metal detecting? What should I be looking for to give me an idea if it might be worth making the long drive to the beach? Thanks!

yes i look at surf cams at times..look for amount of people on beaches, look at tide levels, look for beach erosion..it does help me at times, now im in fla so it does help me allot..:clapping::minelab::detecting:

Thanks and I agree, any beach erosion or sand movement would be a good sign. It's just hard to tell with some of the beach cams. I just subscribed to a premium service with higher resolution and I think that it will eventually pay dividends. I actually saw a couple of detectorists and they weren't doing much digging so that is another clue. HH!
