hey folks. just picked up a surfmaster pulse detector last summer and haven't really tried it out yet, just around my yard....and i found a lot ofjunk stuff.. but anyway will this thing work away from the water, say like in parks and fields or in the woods ?? or it it just meant for salt water use..... any feedback will help...
i plan to take it to the beach one day to try it there... but it is a little chilly out there right now.....is this a good detector or did i waste my $200.00 bucks

I bought a surfmaster P.I Pro before the first
of the year. Have used it at the beach finding
a gold charm and a cross at fort desoto ( DEEP!
below the the dune in front of the fort! hope
to post. Trying it at a local park you dig
ALOT of trash! and you have to dig everything
because of limited discrimination.

Thank you for the input guys, i did go out yesterday to a local park....(roger williams Park in Providence RI) like you said, man every swing i made was telling me that the place was full of junk, i did find a couple of clad coins around some trees, and also the ground was frozen after about 3 inches, but i was trying my best!! man do i got the fever" to go out everyday with my detector but i guess i just have to wait......well anyway i'm thinking of heading out to the coastal beaches ( about 50 miles from me) and give this detector a good try in the salt beach sand and see what i might find....anyway thank again guys for the info.....will keep ya" posted on my finds.. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
