Is there a larger coil that can be put on this detector that would give me a little more depth?
 
If you can locate a Baracuda 12" coil, that can be made to work. You will need to re-set the damping resistor to get it to work properly.
It should do what you want, but you will need to put it on a scope to adjust it.
