Surmaster PI Tones.

MUD707

New member
I have a Whites Surfmaster PI and was wondering if there are any different tones to signify different metals. All I noticed so far is if it is louder it is generally closer to the surface. Is there anything else?

You'll find that nails, bobby pins, etc. will give you a double beep. As you use the machine, you'll get a feel for how a coin sounds vs a bottle cap. Either way, if you're hunting on a beach, just dig it all. The sounds can fool you sometimes.

Is it true you can use the pulse delay as sort of a disc? Gold apparently will disc out quickly compared to iron targets.
