Surprise, Surprise

After air testing the detector and finding it lacking in the depth I'm used to I put the 19 to the proof. Took it to where I test all detectors, a Virginia Plantation that is a nail bed and pounded for the last four years with all the latest and greatest. Sensitivity at 100, quiet as a mouse, zero disc., no notch, V break in my area 39. Ground balanced 68. Immediately started finding small lead and non- ferrous targets. Some so small the probe would not respond. A gold jewelry hunter should love this detector but that's not my thing. As a matter of fact I hate digging tiny non- ferrous crap. I went over to a 40x40 area that just the other day got pounded with the LTD2 and a Deus. Maybe the stars and planets aligned , the moon was just full and the ground was damp and compact but to my surprise I dug 9 flat buttons and some other non-ferrous trash in exactly two hours. I'm pretty efficient with a detector so the only thing I will say is this the F19 was the reason those targets were found. Depths down to 8 inches. Iron signals close by. Regards

Thanks for the report George.----Was you using the 5 X 10 stock coil when you found those 9 buttons?

Yes. I used the stock coil. It is very good at getting close to the ground around stubble. I'm heading out shortly to cover the same ground with the NEL Hunter. I will post some results later. Regards

G2, Gold Bug

First Texas is pretty convinced that the F-19 is a real improvement over the GBP. Maybe there's something there that is the basis for their confidence. Sounds good.

Always have had success looking for gold chains with the GB and G2. Even without charms it hits the clasps and can see the chains as well.

Original GB and GB2 are totally different detectors from the Gold Bug Pro and F19 machines.

When I evaluated the F19 I made it a point to use some test comparisons between it and the G2 I had, and a GB Pro I borrowed. The F19 handled dense iron better than the GBP/G2. Not quite on par with some other makes/models I own and use, but it really performed well against those two FTP models. They did some finin' for sure.
