Sweep speed on the GTP1350?

I was wondering what the sweep speed of the GTP1350? Is it say 2 seconds for a 4ft sweep or 3 seconds for a 4ft sweep?Is it able to handle an faster a sweep speed with the 14inch coil on it? I mostly look for copper based coins in the top 4inches.Looking for ground coverage in parks and ovals.

You just gotta find out for yourself, EXPERIMENT, what's fast for you may be slow for me or someone else, or vice versa, and how far above the soil will effect it too, just get out there and find out for yourself, i would have trouble with a tape measure and a stop watch timing my swing, and using the detector at the same time, experiment=experiment, it's an experience thing, try it

Bury a Dime at 8" in your soil free from any fringe metals.

Experiment with your sweep speed, Sensitivity and Disc Levels.

Your Depth or as I refer to it as: SIGNAL to Noise is your ability to hear the audio signal of your detector while keeping ground reactivity NOISE neutralized.

Other factors influencing depth are Search Coil Size and type, Frequency, Filters, and other Proper Tuning.

I'm Hoping to use other peoples experience on this one, as the nearest Garret dealer is over a 1000kms away and it would cost 2.5 weeks wages to buy. Ouch! if I don't like it.

It really don't matter if it is like the GTI models. They have scan track that adjust to how fast or slow you swing the detector. So like other detectors out there sweep speed is one thing you don't have to worry about.

I'm looking for a detector that I can use as a quick surface skimmer to pick up the shallow stuff and this sounds promising. The X-terra has only a medium sweep speed,which means that if you push it, especially with a concentric coil you start missing a lot!Makes it painful on ground coverage. This is an issue because some of the hunting I want to do involves a 800km round trip.I will also do some deep hunting on some historical sites, but a surface skimmer is more useful at the moment(have a fetish for our $1 and $2 coins at the moment and there are enough in the ground to pay for such a trip).
