New member
we were all talkin detectin today and the wife just had to remind me I might not be as fast as I used to be, well, my darling little thirteen year old piped up and said "dad you be as fast as you want I'll dig for you" so now I have the best diggin tool ever. that's her on the right, caught her sneekin out to try mom's machine.

My 14 year old daughter likes to go diggin too. Bring your daughter along if you come to the forum hunt. They can hang out together.

Now that sounds like loads of fun, I would like that

MY diggin tool is only three, but just this summer I was digging in my own yard like all die hard detectorist and she said dad let me help you deeeg.I thought that was cute. Only problem with 14 is you find something real valueable and she digs it IT WILL BE HERS. ha!!ha!!

I hear that, she's got right at about thirty rings I've found while she was with me, let's me keep the silver ones though. well, with all her silver coin finds and the rings she ought to be able to buy herself a car when that day comes, that's her plan anyway.

You never know, all it takes is one good find.

Always spend time with your kids. Before you know it they are all grown up and gone. I look at my sons, especially my oldest, who turns 30 this year and I wonder where the little blonde haired boy went. I see so many kids that we pick up on the church bus that have parents that could care less about them or where they are at.

Cute daughter and one who will help you detect faster by digging for you ia a bonus and a blessing! :) When I detected around the kids, they wanted to dig the hole and find what was in it and also wanted the goodies! God Bless! Betty

My wife and I have one son. He would go with me detecting all the time, had his own detector digger pouch ect. Then the late teens hit. " I'm not going detecting thats dumb" is all he would say. Guess its not cool at that age. This year he will be 20. I still ask him every time I go if he wants to go and get the same answer, "thats dumb"
