Swinging in an old city park.:fisher:

Took Mud at his word and grabbed the F 75 LTD this morning to see if we both could get back in the groove. Hadn't used it since the woods relic season ended do to tic's earlier this month. Hooked up with a club member hunting buddy and we decided to give one of the cities oldest parks a shot. It has been hunted hard and has decades of trash, but still gives up a goodie here and there. He had his down under trac and I the LTD. Rather ironic, but we both ended the six hour hunt with identical silvers. 2 Mercury dimes and 1 Washington quarter, each. I did beat him on wheat cent finds, though. My Mercs were a 38 and 28s and the Washington was a 56. 1 wheat was a 1909 and the others were all in the 40's. We both dumped trash twice. I had on the 5" coil with sen of 75-80, disc 4 and 3h tones. HH jim tn

Man! That's another great hunt you had! Glad you were able to outhunt that guy!:clapping:

No, no, Mud, I didn't out hunt him. He is a good hunter. I got lucky pretty quick and snagged the 2 Merc's in the same hole. Once he switched to a smaller coil, he plucked his 3 silvers. We were both surprised, though, at pulling 6 silver coins out of that particular area. HH jim tn

Makes it more fun when everyone finds Silver. Having it be the exact same denominations is remarkable actually.. Good job men....

Very nice finds, Jim!!!

So you actually have to get the heck out of the woods due to the ticks???? Spring, I'm finding, is the best time for woods hunting, or in your case, winter, too!!! With all the flooding up here this year, the skeeters will be in full swing! Now would be a good time to buy up some stock in the Deepwoods OFF!
