I left this morning just after 8 AM and even though I got hungry and a bit over heated (water is warm enough now I don't need the waders to slow me down). I finally gave up around 3 PM.
My back and my hernia could take no more abuse but was it worth it?
Check out the swish phase which lasted from morning into the afternoon:

This Swish netted: 17 quarters, 20 nickels (which includes 1 - 1946, 1 - 1940 and 1 No Date Buffalo), 22 dimes, 20 Wheat pennies (oldest is 1919), 37 Memorial pennies and 4 Canadian pennies.
Now that is awesome...well I thought so but look at this:

The swing phase was just a couple hours this afternoon. Here's the totals for that:
5 quarters, 20 nickels, 25 dimes, 1 Wheat (57D), and 53 Memorials.
Total was 22 quarters, 40 nickels, 45 dimes, 89 Memorials, 4 Canadian pennies and 21 Wheat pennies.
That's 221 coins for a grand total of: $13.14
Yes, it was worth the sore back and painful hernia.
I told Sherry since I will probably never beat this total in coins or dollar value, I guess I should sell my detectors while I am overwhelmed at the mass of coins.
Oh yeah I found also a boat anchor, a rubber stopper used in the bottom of a boat, a fuel line connector for a boat's gas tank...and a lot of nails, pull tabs, glass and other nasty stuff.
I gave the items to the owner of this property. He was happy to see it out of his swimming area and off the beach. He mentioned having someone do this from time to time and paying to have it done. I said I'd be glad to do it for free. I have an open invite now to come over any time I want with whoever I want to just sit under the shade trees and relax at the place.
What a great day. Kinda makes up for not making the forum hunt.
Hope you guys at the hunt are having a great time. And you're welcome to come up here to detect whenever you feel the notion.
Oh yeah I think I mentioned this morning I had a secret place...this is it.
There is more there - I just couldn't take the back and herina pain.
