switching

hey fellows, i've read that some wonder how to switch from the smart screen to digital,with out going through learn and edit, well what i do is,(tell me if i'm wrong,ok? ) i set my detector up in the advance mode, completely,than go to options,punch quick than detect,and i can switch from to digital to the smart screen all day long. now am i loosing anything ,or what.

Had to try it out as I feel you should be able to switch back and forth in advanced and quick without going thru the extra two facets...Actually felt the sens. would revert to -16 but it didn't...however no way to check the extra facets that advanced gives you so a question for Minelab U.S.A. is in order.....
