t2 on the beach

chippy

New member
Hi there I've had my t2 a while now and used it only on ploughed and pasture but I want to use it on the beach soon and I have been told there is a way that I can set it up for wet sand any help would be great, thanks John.

There is not a specific setting for wet sand like other machines have. I found that in the wet sand I had to turn down the sensitivity in order to scan and I also had to manually ground balance when there was a lot of black sand.

I hope that helps.

Thanks for that, but could you also tell me exactly how to manually ground balance the t2 as I have not done it before

I'm sorry that was my mistake. I was thinking of the Omega. On the t2 you have to turn down the sensitivity. You can attempt to ground balance but typically it won't. It is not bad in the wet sand but if you get a wave hitting the coil it's not good at all. Black sand is horrible too.

If you stick to the dry sand you will make great finds with the t2.

I did not mean to mislead you on that. I am sorry about that.
