T2 or G2 with 5 inch coil, which is the better in iron

Hello,
I am an avid T2 user here in the UK and believe it is the best detector I have ever used over the last 22 years. I have just purchased a G2 and am interested in others opinions on which they believe is the best detector ( with 5 inch coil ) in amongst iron contamination. I have a site where an early medieval church once stood and it is contaminated beyond belief as one can imagine. I have pulled out some lovely stuff with the T2 over the past few years with both the standard, sef and 5 inch coils. Have not used the G2 on this site yet but am interested to hear if the G2 will out perform the T2 on this type of site. I realise it will not match the T2 for depth but is it a better performer in amongst the iron or have I just purchased a decent back up machine. Thanks

Mike

i keep hearing that the g2 is better in iron infested spots you should do some tests with good targets next to iron . if you do let us know the results good luck and hh
