T2 or wait for a T2 ltd??

New member
I have the chance to get a new T2, (but no warranty) at a pretty good price but dont know if i sould wait for the new T2 LTD that might be available sometime in July.
Is the T2 LTD worth the price difference over the standard T2 and is it close to a f70 because i have a 70 with a 11 coil, or will i not see enough of a difference between the two?
Thanks
Shawn

There is in the F75 and the 75 LTD..then it will be worth a wait...That said, the Standard T2 is my all time favorite coin machine...It works great and has some serious depth...You might want to try each at a dealers and then decide based on knowledge of side by side testing..

In my opinion you will not be unhappy with a T2..you just might be a tad happier with a T2 LTD.. Or, Not !!!

I hate the fact that the release date of the new LTD is just a, "Maybe in July ". I can hold off until july but any longer would not be good at all.

Compare the features, compare the price, and compare the freebies (if any). What kind of hunting do you do? Do you need the extra features that come with the LTD? Only you can answer these questions. Good luck.

You might want to pick up a 5" coil for the Omega and hen keep the T2 set-up with the 11" DD for "coverage and depth," then just grab the Omega w/5" DD for trashier challenges. That's the 2-detector set-up I am going with for the holiday weekend as it eliminates the "down time" to swap out coils int eh field.

Let us know how things go for you.

I like that idea. Does the Omega and T2 use the same coils?
I was even thinking of just leaving the 10'' on my F70 and selling the 11'' i have for it to buy the 5'' for the t2.

One reason I have long favored having different model equipped with coils for specific application is so that I don't have to keep changing coils around. It's not all that difficult, if you have them mounted on a spare lower rod, but it is time consuming because if I change to a 5" at one site, for example, I might have to go back to the 11" at the next.

So, for mow, I am just maintaining a 5" DD Omega set-up to compliment the T2 w/11" stock unit. Yes, I'll have the 10" concentric and 11" DD for the Omega along for the ride, but this will be my holiday weekend method of attack for the sites I have planned. Now, if the weather will just cooperate. :sadwalk: It's dumping rain right now, and has been all day long.
