Getting a target beep.but screen goes completely blank.Takes three, or four swings for recovery. Or have to pull the trigger to get screen back on.All ok for awhile and "Bam" does it again...

ive had it happen, never really thought much about it, hasnt been a issue, like you said swing again and its back in order

Maybe your experience El is what I experienced this morning with the silver dime recovery I mentioned when answering your pm. I was hunting a site where the grass was pretty tall and I knew I would loose some amount of depth...as much as 3-4," when I got the dime hit. Glancing at the screen, it was blank, and stayed blank. I decided to dig the signal anyway as it was repeating a high tone tic from all directions. I flipped the clod over and at the very tip of the clod I spotted the silver reeded edge of a dime. (42 Merc) The hole depth was 5+" and the dime was completly on edge. I assumed that the actual ground depth, loss of depth due to the tall grass and the coin being on edge, was why there was no vdi reading. Now, maybe that wasn't the reason, hmmm? HH jim tn

I bet it was Jim............I just took mine out and all is working well................no blanks on the screen............So it might have settled down....

I'm going to run it for awhile and watch it closely and hope it is just what you said on edge hits

I should have read the manual a little closer..........Problem not a problem.

I measured the hole and at a small angle in bottom a 1936 was sitting there waiting for me..Yahooo...

Soil was wet to almost soggy

Elton, I've had this issue too. I thought it had to do with deeper targets and not getting a numbers reading on them. What was the issue you were doing wrong?

I also was using 3b..which is a bottle cap sorta reject mode..that actually adds a little more discrimination on the out put...so if a little junk is next to the good target..it will stay blank as it can not id properly and just beep a good tone.. Absolutely nothing wrong with the machine it was me..

Elton, come to think of it, I was in 3b mode as well. I remember switching to regular 3+ b/c of this problem.

I haven't any sites to check that out.. The T2 can hold it's own with any machine out there..and most likely out do some of them.

I find it to be an amazing hunter...(COINS) in my case.

I also noticed the results were immediate..not much of a learning curve.just have to figure out the tones and how they work...The F75 has process modes separate. The T2 has the tones and process modes combined....Kinda like an automatic built in decision maker for you.. After learning by doing on the tones I really like the 3b and 4 tones in trashed parks.. In a cleaner area the 1,2, 2+ and 3 work really well and you will id just about everything you go over.

How about that All metal mode..I don't use it often.but wow it's really something the targets the T2 can hit on..1/16 th inch nuts at 4 and 5 inches..unbelievable.and lightening responses between targets too.
