T2 questions

How do you ground balance this detector, Ive seen a video where you pull or push the trigger and pump the coil, is that the only way to do it or is there another way?

Is the screen hard to see in low light, like in the woods?

Anyone use it around metal like chain link fences or playground posts, can it get in close? anyone ever tried it under bleachers(like at a football field)?

any comments are appreciated, trying to see what differences between it and F75 so I can decide which to get.

Thanks much,
Neil

1. The T-2 will automatically gb in disc. mode. In all metal mode it is as you describe. Consult your owners manual. I don't know of another way.

2. I have never had a problem with the screen in the woods and i spend alot of time there spring and fall.

3. Chain link fences I face head on and swing slowly and narrowly. Use 3 tones for better audio separation.

4. Under bleachers isn't a problem for me. I have seen bleachers that have angle iron cross supports that lay on the ground and are spaced about 3 feet apart. Those are a pain

Lower sensitivity will help with 3 and 4 also.

Hope this helps.

There are a bunch of other good smart people on here that will respond also so see what they have to offer.

Take care, Dave

I have them both and pretty much close my eyes as to which one I hunt with on any given day. I do like the back light feature of the F 75, but have never had a problem seeing the numbers on the T 2 screen. The je mode on the F 75 is a plus as that mode is very sensitive to small gold. I also feel the F 75 is a bit deeper over all, but the T 2 is very deep. There is not enough depth difference between the two to sway me either way, however. Good luck with your decision, they are both proven winners. HH jim tn

Neil,
I own a T2 and wrote a review on it here have a look there are all the settings you want, and GC is easy once you have the hang of it if you pump the coil up and down don't go to fast and look at the numbers once they stabilise lets say on 54 then release the trigger and you are good to go.Cheers
