T2- Smaller Coil

bfodnes

New member
Hi.

Tekneticst2.com homepage still says that a smaller coil will be due in 2007, is this still the fact.

The only thing that keeps me from owning a rev6 version is just that.

o,Yes, and I personally dont think the F75 will be a boosted T2. More likely a lower frequency high conductor type machine.

If i go this way, it will be the T2.

Anyone have some info?

Regards

bfodnes

I'm like you I think the F75 is a detuned more stable beast. A really great coin machine but not a big time relic getter? Who knows but we'll know soon!

The Test units are being delivered I heard!

T2 ain't a good relic machine !!!!!!!!
I've been swinging for 23+ yrs and I've dug relics where I couldn't even think about digging 5 yrs. ago.
It digs everything from shells to buttons
To prove my point here's a button I dug in a place I've been digging for the last 23 of those years

This was dug where i couldn't eve think about going because of iron.
Believe me I've dug more than this button in the iron field coins, buttons, and minis
fieldboy se.va.

Howdy Pops... I must agree about the "0's". I like your sense of humor... If'n "Pops" in anyway
refers to "age," I'm a "Pops plus"... Old and forgetful I be.... and that my excuse and I'm stuck with
it! Welcome to the forum... Actually I post little, but visit occasionally... Seriously my interest
in a smaller coil is for nugget hunting... I got nothing negative to say about the T-2...
However, if you happen to subscribe to Western & Eastern Treasures magazine, their 2008
special collector's edition has just hit the newstands. It has an article on "Detecting Eolian Placers
in the Desert Southwest." Thus, my interest in a smaller coil for my T-2... to get around the
rocks and under the brush.

Yeah Jeff definitely blew that promise. One ain't coming I'd bet.

Gosh... what will be will be... It ain't over to the fat lady sings. While it seems
a small coil (or not?), will likely somewhat impact new T-2 sales, but it now appears
that Teknetics T-2 (as we now percieve it to be) is no longer the flagship of First
Texas... Since the Teknetics T-2 was introduced, FT acquired the "better known"
Fisher Lab. So, the flag, so as to speak, has been moved to Fisher as the F-75.

Thus, by default the T-2 will become an "orphan"... But the bottom line: the T-2 is
considered a good detector, and likely continue to have a following...
