T2 software revision upgrade advice

Hello. I was trying to find what is the difference between versions 5 and 6 on the T2 software. Can anyone list them? I can't find much about, except that it costs $50.00 (sending it to the manufacturers). Thanks for your help.

as I'm not certain. I believe it was maybe adding the "B's" for bottle caps is one....
If that is about all, and bottle caps are not an issue for you, you may be fine....
IF anyone knows about any other upgrades please post 'em here.
Thanks,
Bill

Delta Pitch mode, (multi-tone as in a tone for each number) adjustable pinpoint sensitivity, user selectable mode(s) where nickels are where they belong pitch wise from a conductivity standpoint instead of high like on the CZ's, bottle cap mode which offers more ID variation when over a bottle cap and also helps confirm nickels... I think that covers it. One thing I noticed at least with mine when I had the revision done is it actually lost ID depth (not target detection depth but rather how deep a target could be and still display an ID number)in the all metal mode and the ID depth in the DP mode wasn't as great as the original modes. I'm not sure if this was somewhat unique to mine or if it is "normal". I talked to Dave Johnson about this and he basically said that the software either worked 100% or 0% so if I saw any performance characteristic difference, it was apparently "normal". He also commented that he'd not heard this from other users that had the upgrade done so my take on that is they either didn't notice it or it didn't happen on theirs. My personal opinion is this... if you plan on winding up with a T-2 AND an F-75, and can live with the the V-5's hot preset pinpoint (some detuning required if necessary) and perhaps having to check out a few more bottle caps (which can be mostly avoided by raising the coil while swinging over the target and seeing if the ID deteriorates quicker than when over a desirable target), you might want to keep the V-5 intact in the T-2. If you plan on only having a T-2, then you might want to consider having the V-6 done. JMHO.
