Anyone use a Nel Tornado or Cors Strike coil on the T2??? Second one I have tried and having Ground Balance issue with them. T2+

Hello Kevin

I use the Nel Tornado coil on my T2 se....haven't had any GB problems..only thing I have noticed is not being able to crank sensitivity into the 90's at some sites...hopefully some other members will comment with some ideas/help.....hh. joe

Seems to have something to do with farm land. It balanced right in my yard. It acts like I am balancing over metal in the fields I hunt, even when nothing is there. This is sandy land too. If I try to manual balance it in the field, it is reacting to the ground when lowering the coil at every setting 0 to 99. Cutting the sensitivity back, even to 0 doesn't help.

Does it do that with your manufacturer coils as well ? Fertilizer on farm fields can make a detector do strange things but if you can ground balance in the same zones with other coils, something must be wrong with the Tornado. I had a new Tornado coil 2 years ago and it wasn't working properly on my F5/F19. Sent it back and dealer tested and confirmed it was faulty. It happens.

I use the Detech Ultimate on my T2. It will not groundgrab but I set to all metal and ground balance to slightly positive and have had great results. Usually around 72 here in eastern NC.
