Went to another field I had all but given up on. I have walked every inch of this field. I tried 2 Bounty Hunters, 1 Garrett and I was checking out a C Scope here as well. This field was the site of a house or inn around the 1870's. The farmer put some drainage tile in and basically obliterated the site with bulldozers.
I always new there had to be something more there. I had found a musketball and a snake belt clasp there before, but that was it.
First thing I noticed with the T2 was the number of sounds I was hearing. Before I could not tell if I was in a house debri field or just put in the open. Lots of signals. I was hunting in 40 disc, 70 sens and was trying out the 2 tone mode. Anyway got a couple great coins so I am a happy camper tonight. Found a thimble, a very small sad iron, an 1852 Canadian Bank Token and an 1870 Canadian silver 5 cent piece. The little nickel has seen better days, but i'll take it. The token read as a quarter, VDI 95 and was on edge and you could just see the rim sticking out of the ground. The 5 cents was down about 4" and read as a screw cap and a VDI of 75. Have to hit another field this week end, after I have another go at this one.
