T2SE Brings Home The Silver

I took the T2SE around a old school yard today to see if it could find some goodies. No gold ring, but I did manage to find a 1936 Mercury dime, a silver bible charm, a 40, 41, 42, 43,44, 45 wheat pennies(yep a straight), 1973 Canadian penny, 35 pennies, 4 nickels, 33 clad dimes and 6 quarters. I started out with 3 tones, discrimination 10, and sensitivity 80. It was just too much target noise for my ears at this trashy site, so I changed to 1+ tone, discrimination 50 and sensitivity 90. That was much better.:)

I've used the T2SE at 4 different locations and still no EMI issues. It runs really quiet, except for target responses.

I always try to run on 3 tones, but always end up going back to 2+, i can't help but think that 3 tones would be better? (Once i got accustomed to it) great finds!

Yeah, I know what you mean. In real trashy areas I find that having can slaw, nickels, modern pull tabs and clad coins all having the same high tone a real brain overload.

That is a good thing on targets isn't it ?.

I keep thinking of all the other machines I have used, and how many good targets I missed during the slow reset process.

Elton, yes target responses are a good thing. The T2SE doesn't miss much with its blazing recovery speed and good depth. The good targets have nowhere to hide. The T2SE can bring so called hunted out places alive with good targets. What amazes me is how well my T2SE handles EMI and how easy it is to swing all day long.

I'm glad that you talked me into buying one.:)

All has been good for me. You have adapted very well from the progress I see reading your posts.
............... It just gets better as you use it. Like all machines it will reach it's peak for you..and hopefully Tek will have another model ready to replace, and move forward.
