T2SE Disc @ foundations

I see many normally use the following around foundations

89 Sensitivity or thereabouts
Disc 21
2+

My question is if theres lot of iron, will it get masked out with a disc of 21? What about a higher disc like 49?

Should I run things wide open?

Mainly interested in coins....

At 21 you should hear iron, but from my understanding, disc above 40 should not give the iron tone. I am NOT well versed in the T2 yet, so may be wrong. Hopefully others with more experience with it will post up. I bought my T2SE to hunt old farm and ranch sites. Lots of iron there. Still have a cz for backup and beaches. Really looking forward to spring hunting this year and my T2 is the reason.

with the t2se deeper targets can read in the iron range where i live it was mainly nickels and they would read in the mid 30s disc at 21 was high enough to eliminate small iron like nails and still hear deeper good targets hh

Ok cool. Should I stick with 2+. I've seen some use 3? Or something that gives a high tone

if your using bp mode then your using 2+ tones, for me i liked running 3 or 4 tones for coin hunting. your only gaining a inch or so in boost mode i would suggest you try different tones and settings everytime you go and find what works best for you in your area, you dont have to run the sense real high to get good depth on my t2 i would run around 70 max in parks and school yards hh
