T2SE Finds Some Silver, A Boat And A Few Old Coins:teknetics:

The location that I detected today has potential for some really good finds. I found my first Liberty Nickel (1893?), a Buffalo Nickel, a 1942 Wheat Penny and a silver earring. I was first running 10 on the discrimination, 85/90 on the sensitivity and 3 tones. Ground balance was 62/63. I switched over to 6 on the discrimination, 70 on the sensitively and 4 tones. I really like that setting. The tones were music to my ears. I got a lot of target info just listening to the 4 tones without having to look at the screen.

Nice assortment of finds. Like that boat. I got a couple of V's myself this morning.

Hey, for some reason I was under the impression the T2SE didn't have 3 and 4 tones???

Nice hunt, Gerald.:beers: HH jim tn

Checked the Tek web page and now know the SE does have up to 4 tones. Did not know that. HH jim tn

Jim the T2SE has the same tones as the F75 has except it only has the 2+ tone in the boost mode. I think I'm going to try the all metal boost mode tomorrow.:)

My T2SE sure runs a lot quieter than my Omega does.

good finds

Thanks Gerald. The 2+ tones in boost is where I was confused. If nothing new from F T shows up, may give the T2 SE a shot. I liked the regular T2 I had a number of years ago before I got the F 75. HH jim tn

I'll lend you mine for a week or so to see if you're going to like the T2SE. It's trained already to find the good stuff.:)

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I like to train them myself. Anyway, its as much about playing with something new as anything. HH jim tn

The fertilizer they use at these parks eats the nickels up. Although I did find a Buffalo Nickel that was a bronze black color that was in pretty good shape.

It doesn't seem to have any effect the silver coins.
