I got up early this morning so I could try out my new Sharpshooter Coil. Before I finished drinking my coffee and getting dressed the rain set in. Undeterred, I got out a plastic baggie to cover my detector and headed out in hopes that the rain would stop soon. I didn't want to go far, so I went to a park that I said that I would not hunt again because I've hunted it to death. I hit a tot lot and found a little piece of junk jewelry about 7 inches down. I then moved on to the grassy area and found some clad coins and a bunch of nickels. I messed around and got a soft small high tone that sounded round ( that's Tesoro talk) and when I went to pinpoint it indicated it was 10 inches deep. I knew that wasn't right. I dug down around 5 inches deep and found a 1946 Rosie on edge. After couple of hours I decided to go to another park that's close by. I was digging coins left and right at the new location. Most of them were around 7 inches deep or deeper and a lot of them were on edge. I really like this coil a lot. It's deep and easily to swing. About mid field, I got a strong mid tone that sounded small and round. The numbers didn't bounce around and I knew that was a good sign. I dug down around 3 or 4 inches and popped a class ring. It weighs 29.73 grams. My total on the coins: 26 pennies, 17 nickels, 27 dimes, 23 quarters and a silver dime.
I was running the T2SE with 3 tones, 10 discrimination and had the sensitivity set at 92 and running quiet.
I really like this coil a lot. I got a great deal from one of our forum sponsors. Ron at The Gold Metal Diggers.
