nice chart - we find very few coins on the bottom of the chart but they sure are at those depths when we do. I printed it out,Thanks, steve in so az
 
it is neat, but coin depth varies so much in the exact smae park in my town I dug an indian penny at 2 1/2 inches and just a few feet away I dug several clad coins in the 4-5 inch range. It puzzles me. Right across the street my partner dug an IH and a buffalo both under 3" deep, and on the same site clad coins were much deeper.
 
Hi goes4ever, the soil might be fill dirt hauled in from a place where coins were lost and that may be why they are at different depths, because of the way the dirt was spread over the ground.....probably was not recent but quite some time ago! :)
