Talk about a blessing from God....

Pete in MI

New member
As most of you know I spent a week in September and another week in November in the hospital and nearly died. I nearly died again when I saw the bill...over $60,000.00. And that was just the hospital bill, I still have other medical bills on top of that.

I talked with the people at the hospital and they were nice and reduced the price to slightly more than $48,000. That in itself would be a blessing to not have to pay the full amount. Problem was without a job and this hernia I'm not able to pay $48,000. I explained that. Filled out paperwork to try to get the State of Michigan to get me on medicaid to help with my bills...got turned down. but it was a blessing too in that Sherry and Casey were able to get it...especially when Sherry needed it most in the past few months.

So I filed paperwork to see if a grant would be able to pay it off. Got turned down and it took 5 months to let me know that so I had accrued even more debt thinking the grant had been approved and it would cover some other debts too. Again

Then I got a call from the hospital and they said they would reconsider my application...someone had dropped the ball before, people moved from one office to another and my application they had turned down was now under reconsideration.

I got word last week that the grant has been approved for 100% of what is owed. I owe nothing. Not 60 grand, not 48 grand but zero. Thank God.
I still have other medical debts but to be out from under a debt of 48 grand sure takes a lot of pressure off. And, I will have to check Monday but the grant may even cover getting this hernia fixed. Sure praying that will be done.

Thank God for His love and His turning this worry into a non-issue. Thank you Father God, thank you Jesus and thank you too Holy Spirit.

God is good!!!!! You know the rest! :)
