This is hunt #63..... We went to local park with lots of trees and only hunted in the shaded areas for 4 hours. This was a pure luck hunt. Couldn't get a parking place where I wanted to go so had to park a block away and I was saying a few choice words. I Got out of the car grumbling and swearing and GB the detector and one swing a quarter on top of the ground. 10 feet from the car I saw what looked like a coin, it was a nickel and a dime under it. Just picked them up. Got another 10 feet and laying on top of the ground was this stainless steel DAD ring. Found some keys too. 3 hours into the hunt I picked up the 1953 wheat that was under a 1980 penny. It was a strange hunt. I have the detector in the house because it is supposed to be about 100 degrees tomorrow and the next day. Not going hunting for sure, maybe???? Thanks for looking and be cool out there.....Z

Stck a candle up my nose and call me Jack-O-Lantern! You are the luckiest blankety-blank! See if you can sell that thing...I may have to come over there and sweep up after the EAA again this year, you know, clean out your parks for you so you have a clean slate! Dont sit around in that recliner too long!! Great hunt, great post!:clapping:

I am sitting here reading ebooks in my recliner. TV showed temp at 102. I think I am stuck inside for some quality time with the wife. :argue: Anytime you want to come over and do a little hunting come on over. Larry is planning to come in and wayupnorth has stopped in a few times. I don't have any secret places to go to. I just decide to head out in a direction and hit a site. Lots of times I remember what was happening years ago when driving the bus around the city. Many of my recalls have paid off nicely. Be careful out there Mud.....Z

Well, the ole stumblebum did it again. Nice bunch of finds Z and that is a really neat ring. I know about that stumbling around. Just getting out there and the law of averages says one will stumble onto something once in a while. Yup, conditions are tough. Be careful. HH jim tn

Thanks guys for replies..
Rob O I am not super excited about walking, walking, walking and swinging the coil for hours at a time without stopping and digging. If you think about it, it is more fun to find things. So I dug everything for a long time. That is how I got the idea to hunt the way I do. Collect a lot of coins and have fun. I count the number of days I go hunting every year just for fun.
The greatest find? Well the most important find was: On the beach detecting and this little guy maybe 3 was just crying big crocodile tears and his little body was shaking. I stopped and asked what was wrong. His mom said he lost his truck. I spent about 5 minutes looking and when I pulled it out of the sand his whole body lite up and the biggest smile I have ever seen. Best find!!!
Hay Jim that is the way I look at it. If you are out there a lot you may step in lots of cow pies but every once and awhile you do find a horse ball. Surprise is nice. Thanks again and be careful.......Z

Ya Z, I think we think alike. Its all about the fun. Hot, tough digging and I got 38 cents this morning re-working a spot. Now thats what I call fun. My arm felt like it was going to fall off as I wasn't giving it a rest digging. Fun, you betch'a. HH jim tn
