I was asked several months ago to talk to a 4-H group about treasure hunting. Yesterday we traveled about 46 miles to a club members home where I gave the talk. We had about a dozen kids, and 4 adults. This is one of the smallest groups I have talked with but was equally as fun. After sharing about treasure hunting, showing finds, and answering questions, we took the kids out for a treasure hunt. My daughter Shelby helped with the kids and my daughter Grace got to join in the hunt. The area was seeded with quarters, half dollars and tokens. There were also three keys one of which opened a treasure chest full of goodies! Everyone had fun finding and keeping the treasure. The first key found opened the chest that had cookies inside for everyone. We had to wear our coats as it was cool and very windy but everyone had a blast. Looking forward to the next one at the end of the month with a much bigger crowd!
