Well I'm all wiped out from digging yesterday so guess I'll post a few things.
Here's as few ideas to consider.

Do you detect the outside of parks & such? I took a bunch of coins, plus 5 silver, from around the outside of this park.

In this small little corner spot I dug a Barber dime.

At the side of this house, near where the red step meets the house, I dug a Walking Liberty half.

Lastly, a cigar box with the lid removed makes a nice display box. Especially if it is flocked (the fuzzy stuff on it). Hot glue things and hang - looks professional.

Your second and third pics just scream for a 5" "hockey puck" coil.

A buddy of mine and I were hunting some spots here in Tulsa before I moved up north. He found a Barber dime in a strip of grass that was less than 6" from curb to sidewalk. Sometimes you just never know where the goodies will be.

I've been eyeballing a lot of the grass easement strips in dowtown Tulsa lately. Many of these areas are lined with parking meters, so I'm hoping for lots of modern change, but the possibility of old coins and tokens (especially IT Tokens) is high.

Wal-Mart has announced that it may build a store on the outskirts of downtown. Hopefully they scrape the area, and I can get in on that. I've also heard about a possible new baseball stadium being built. Anytime dirt is moved around in an area that old, it definitely needs to get searched!

Those are terrific suggestions, Steve. You found some very nice coins" in and around, and about".:super:

I like the display case! :)

I still think of you whenever I kick away chip bark from the steps & such. Old sidewalk strips are good - just kind of hard ground here. Good luck on some IT items - I have dug a few AT ones, steve

With as many people out there who MD, getting "creative" is a plus :) My motto is to "dig where no one else in their right mind would dig"

Like in areas such as this............
