Tejon battery door "quick fix"

I finally got my Tejon..."O" ringed the Thresh, G.B. and Tone knob...the two disc knobs are fine as I will thumb these as I go along.
Agree with other's that Tesoro missed the boat on the battery compartment doors and there just trouble waiting for a place to happen.
I went to "Wally World" and got some black 1" stretch elastic....cut to length(I made them long enough to double the wrap) my wife sewed a few together for me...although they cover the nice little Tesoro logo <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> ...I think they will work fine and don't look to bad.
Hope to get out tomorrow and give the Tejon a good work out.

A bit of a design 'Boo-Boo' that really shouldn't have gotten past R+D. Rubber seals inside the battery doors would have been reassuring, what with the wet several months of winter coming at us fast! Oh well, I guess we are ALL going to have to find our own way around that one! I have constructed a similar device to yours, mine consists of a webbing strap secured with velcro ... seems to work as well as yours! in the short term, you can just put an elastic band around the battery compartments, that does the same job well. Done a bit of research, and i think it's down to THE UK importers who installed the batteries into the pods!
