Tejon vs Vaquero

I am having trouble making up my mind,. Now its betwen the Vaq and Tejon. Again mostly coin and jewelry hunting in parks and schools and tot lots..In either case i hope this will be better than my MXT

The two are very different kinds of machines and it is real hard to do a meaningful comparison. I hunted for quite a while with an MXT. Gave up on the MXT in search of something to take the weight off my shoulder. I now hunt with a Tejon and an X-terra 70 (real trashy coinshooting mostly). The Tejon is about equivalent to the MXT when relic hunting, but I prefer the lighter weight and I tend to dig more with the Tejon. If you're doing a lot of coinshooting the MXT is a better machine for figuring out what is under the coil unless you put a lot of hours on the Tejon. Also, Tesoros pinpoint better than any machine I've handled and that cuts down on recovery time.

I'd probably opt for the V and add the 5.75 coil to the package for the trashy areas.

Right on! The 5.75 concentric coil is super deep for its size. I have dug dimes at 7+ inches so far using it. It really does make detecting in trashy areas a lot easier.
