Tejon

New member
I have been looking at the tesoro Tejon and was wondering if
those that have one like it. I have been useing garrett and minelab
detectors mostly but have always been interestd in tesoro detectors.
how is the tejon for coin hunting and dose it get decent depth.
thanks for any help you can give me.

I had one, and it was pretty decent. I didnt find the depth to be extraordinary like it was touted at first(for my conditions, it was not much better than my Pantera). I liked the dual disc. to help weed out trash in a place that had a lot of trash. I also liked to use the pinpoint tigger for GBing. I got rid of it, because I wanted to try something from Tesoro that was quieter and that had multiple tones. I would say that it is a worthy detector, coin hunting and relic wise, but if I were to buy another new Tesoro, I would probably check out the Vaquero first. It does a lot of the same things as the Tejon, plus I hear it is a little quieter, and a little cheaper(things like that matter to me). Hope this helps. If you have anything more specific, you can shoot me an email.

Scott:
I have a Tejon and It is a keeper. It is a detector that takes some
time to understand. But once you know what it is telling you.
It will serve you well. For coin hunting it really gets deep.
And some times it gets to deep. Like in a well gromed lawn.
I have nothing to gain by lieing to you. But I have a dime in my
yard at 8" and The tejon will give a good loud signal on it.
A friend has a garret with a 10" Elliptical and his garret wont
touch it. and that is a known target location. The ground balance
is easy to learn. Which is very Importune. HH Diggercoins67
