Teknetics 13" Ultimate DD coils

D&P-OR

Well-known member
Kellyco got some 13" Ultimate coils in for the Tek Omega & Gamma.---I don't know if they got any in for other detector brands at this time or not but any one that is interested in getting one of these coils may want to check with Kellyco.-----Just thought I would give this "heads up".---------Del

I've been using a 13" Ultimate & 12"/15" SEF coils on my T2se & they adds inches of depth over the stock coils. I use the 13"Ultimate coil & the 12"/15"SEF to relic & pasture hunt. It's a hot set up. The 13" is light & well balanced, more so than the 15". The 15" is a little nose heavy. They really woke my T2se up in the depth department. I'm used to using a CZ so I'm used to digging deep things. With the 13" & 15" on the T2 I'm now getting as much & in some instances with the 15" more depth than the CZ's I use (depending on the ground). What really stands out is the ground coverage. They don't loose any sensitivity to small things either. For the right application these bigger coils will put some finds in your pouch. They are for me, every time I go out with them I come home with keepers. You can't beat the coil selection we have for the T2, 5"-11"-12"-13"-15" at our disposal. You can do it all. From trash riddled parks to open fields you got it covered. Any way HH Tim

COULD YOU GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF DEPTH INCREASE BY USING THE 15 INCH COMPARED TO STOCK 11 INCH AND 13 ALSO FOR EXAMPLE ON A DIME OR QUARTER SEEM HOW YOU HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE TO SHARE.HOW WELL DOES IT PERFORMS AT THE BEACH, RED MINERALIZE CLAY. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. I AM CONSIDERING THE T2 LTD WITH ONE OF THE LARGER COILS.

Never had it at a beach. I did dig 12"-13" minnie balls with the 12"/15" SEF coil in mild sandy ground. Hunted the tops of hills that very little soil was left mostly clay & rocks. Got good depth with the 12"/15", as much depth as my CZ's 8" 9" minnie balls in hot ground. I didn't get any depth with the stock coil on relics or coins. I found things in the 6" range with the stock coil. All I know is this The big coils work on my T2se. It let me find things that the stock coil wouldn't.

The Ultimate coil is starting to get very good revues over here in the UK and i see it as the next generation coil from Detech after the SEF the 15x12 SEF coil is deep but at the expense of being heavy as and someone has mentioned its worth having one in your arsenal !!!

@usa-usn-vet can you turn your caplocks off as in cyberspace its seen as shouting !!! not most people dont like it in forums etc

small people like to be heard:rolleyes:

I have been using the 13'' detech for a couple of months now on my omega and i am very pleased with its performance. I went from the stock 10'' to the detech and can say i probably gained 1-2'' in depth in my soil and it definitly seperates better than the stock coil. Its only drawback to me is it likes emi compared to the stock coil but not to the point where its a big problem. I highly recommend this coil to anybody thinking about buying one. Paul

I called Kellyco and they told me if I wanted one I would have to wait until they got some in,but they where sure willing to take my money. How long ago did you check with them.
