Teknetics Alpha 2000 any good?

Need a good grab and go unit to give to a friend of mine,got it down to an Ace 250 or the Alpha 2000, Help I'm Stuck!! Thanks..

200 bucks is the max limit?
You sure your stuck between these two?

Low cost 1st place is the Tek Delta
Low cost 2nd place is the Fisher F2
Low cost 3rd place is the Ace-250
Low cost 4th place is the Alpha. The Alpha swings better than the F2 or the Ace, and works well, but you get a bit more control with the Ace

the alpha only discriminates to blocks like the ace 250 . The delta and F2 discriminates down to digits, and the F2 can be purchased with multiple coil packages. I have the 8 inch and 4 both are nice.
further I know the F2 pinpoints v v well. and for coins i just discrim' out Iron and foil. For 215 USD go the two coil pack in case the ground is trashy
