There is a small ballpark near my home, that I have been detecting with the Omega. I"m on my 4th battery charge, and have been using all 3 coils. I'm not sure if this park has been overlooked by other detectorists, or that the Omega is this good in trash. Rumor has it that the park is 30+ years old. The only silver I have found is a ring. 152 quarters, 218 dimes, 462 pennies, 18 nickels. I'm leaving a few nickels behind as I don't like digging the pulltabs that are everywhere. This machine is awesome in high density trash. Fast response and reset time, makes picking coins out a breeze. The 5" coil is a must have in this target on top of target environment. Listen for the high tones, and coinshooting becomes easy. I like the 10 coil where the trash thins out a bit, and I use the 11" coil in the open spaces. That 11' coil is really amazing, good depth, but also excellent target seperation, and great pinpointing as well. The Omega sets up easy, liteweight, quite accurate ID and depth reading. Its a fun machine to use. I also dug up 4 steel bottlecaps, no nails, 1 bolt, about 35 pieces of chunk steel. Its amazing and nice that iron is mostly ignored. Saves alot of digging. If there is a coin and trash buried in the same spot, the machine usually gives the high tone. Some of the grungy nickels ID is a bit bouncy, very similar to the square tab. My ground reads in the low 50's, I am usually able to run the sensitivity past 90. IMHO, this machine is tough to beat in its price range. HH
