Teknetics Where did the company come from?

Is Technetics an offshoot of Fisher? Who owns fisher and who owns technetics? Did the person who desinged the technetics detectors also design the fisher ones? (they seem similar). Just curious as to the history.

All I can tell you is first texas own both the fisher and the teknetics plus the bounty hunter too.
If not mistaken they're not made at the same place but parts would be interchanged to keep the costs down someone correct me if I'm wrong and I could very well be on the last part.

First Texas now ownes Fisher, Bounty Hunter, and Teknetics line George Payne started the original Tek line back in the eighties if memory serves me right. Fisher sold out to a different company first and they sold to First Texas ( My facts may be a little mixed on first sale of Fisher, but it was announced).......... First Texas has really stepped up to the plate and made some nice equipment in the last few years All new........Just the same old names. Even the Bounty Hunter line that for years was considered entry level if that is working better.
My Hats is off to First Texas and the people they hired.. Best Engineers in the business.
